For those of you who cannot get to a gym, there are still ways you can incorporate exercise into your daily routine!
- Use bodyweight/plyometric workouts. You can find tons of these online. www.bodybuilding.com has a massive database where you can find some of these!
- Invest in a set of dumbbells. Start with the 7 pounders.. once they start to become easy, go for the 10’s.. then the 15’s… you get the idea ;) There is also this AWESOME thing (which I own) called “Power Blocks”.. I use them all the time. They can be purchased online (http://www.home-gym.com/elset5lbsx5l.html).
- Also, purchase a stability ball! There are so many great exercises that can be performed on a stability ball! Again, you can find a variety of workouts online, especially at bodybuilding.com
- Try workout videos! Things like P90x and Insanity have worked for many people.. if you put enough intensity into these workouts, you will surely see results!
- Do HIIT at a local track.. sprinting on a track is way easier on your joints than doing it on the street. The same goes for longer, steady-state cardio!
- Lastly… EAT CLEAN.. no amount of exercise is going to replace a bad diet. If you really want to lower your body fat and/or build muscle, you need to eat a balanced, wholesome diet, void of processed junk.
